There are two things that stop us from utilizing the present moment. One is the painful though of the past and the other is the worry for the future. Many painful things might have happened in our lives. But they are dead and gone. Now it is useless and foolish to think of them. Even if we think about them, we cannot make any changes in what has already happened to us. It is also useless to worry about the future. We dont know what will happen to us tommorrow. Moreover, we are not going to make any changes on the future events just by worring. If we really want to make the future promising and beautiful, stop worrying and start working.

Imagine there is a bank, which deposits in our account Rs.86,400 everyday.Every evening it cancels what is left in the account. What wouldwe do? We will use as much as possible.Everyone has such a bank called TIME. Every morning it gives us 86,400 seconds.Every night it cancels whatever we have failed to utilize.Therefore, understand the richness of each day, moment and utilise it well and be happy.

On the other hand, the word 'Home' indicates the relationship that exists between the various members of a family. The atmosphere at home has a great role to play in the development of a person. Loving parents, brothers and sisters can surely contribute to one's success.

Love is the basic factor that keeps the members of a family united. It fills our heart with a feeling of support and encouragement. Atmosphere at home moulds the character and personality of a child. In short, those who have the desire to succed in life should also have a mind to create a home founded on love and mutual understanding.

Footprints

Once a devotee of God had a wonderful dream. He was walking with God on the seashore. The pleasant smile on his face clearly showed that he was enjoying the walk. God said to the man, "Look here on the sand, you will find the different happenings of your life clearly marked on it." The man carefully watched it. As he noticed two pairs of footprints on the sand he asked God for the reason. God replied, "One pair is yours and the other is mine. I was with you from the very moment of your birth."

It made the man happy and joyful. As he praised God for His love, care and concern, he noticed something wrong with it. In the most difficult situations of his life he could find only one pair of footprints. The thought that when he was in trouble God had left him to be alone pierced into his heart and the beautiful smile on his face slowly faded away.

For a few seconds he kept mum, then he asked in despair, "O Lord, you said that you would always be with me. Then why did u leave me alone when I was in pain and trouble?" God thought for a moment and replied, "My dear son, do u think I can leave you alone in your suffering? Do you know why we dont see two pairs of footprints in certain situation? On those occassions I was carrying you on my shoulders to protect you. And the footprints you find on the sand are not yours, but mine."

To believe in the providence of God means to have faith and trust in His goodness. It is based on the conviction that if God has created us, He will continue to stay with us all through our life. The world can be rightly compared to a ocean. And our life to a little boat.There will be storms as well as hurricanes that toss our boat on the waves. But believe that God will protect and help us sail through life.
